I started my referral program for one reason. To provide a different type of referral service to the roofing industry. A much higher quality service with a very different approach to cost and compensation.

My experience with roofing companies has proven to me that most lead companies are severely anemic in their business model.

They do indeed supply leads, but they are considerably less than quality leads. Most roofing companies will attest to despising lead companies because they might be able to close one (1) or maybe two (2) of the total paid leads if they are lucky. In addition, the cost of travel, lost time, and gas expense can make lead cost very high and extremely frustrating. So, the general opinion is: “It’s just not worth my time.” And I don’t blame them. In fact, I agree with them.

My name is Tom Johnson. I am an entrepreneur. I have owned and operated many successful businesses including Christian Auto Brokers and auto repair shop, Johnson Ambulance Service, New Cine Arts theater chain. In addition, my career also included management experience: Business Manager for 3 different hospitals, ProNet Communications as National Medical Answering Service Manager with 3 branches and Director of Credit and Customer Service over 14 branches, and as National Customer Upgrade Administrator for AT&T Wireless I designed and directed the fulfilment program converting from analog to digital phones.
I spent the last twelve (12) years with HAILSTRIKE, in my opinion the most dynamic, and trustworthy hail tracking software company in the country, and believe me, I know who the others are and what they offer.
I helped launch HAILSTRIKE in 2011. I was the sales rep, then Director of Sales, then Director of Sales, Training and Customer Service. I was privileged to be elected to the Board of Directors, and I am a shareholder (to be completely transparent). I have retired from HAILSTRIKE, although I still consult with HAILSTRIKE and occasionally assist when convenient.
I have worked with and created relationships with more roofing and construction companies than I can count, so I do know what I am talking about. I have listened to and heard their frustrations with lead companies, how much wasted money they poured out, and how they wish there was a better way.
Now there is a better way.
I have put together a roofing referral program that reflects the best interest of the roofing company and the homeowner. A team/partnership approach. The better you do, the better I do. No one loses, we all win.
I spend a great deal of time vetting, educating, and qualifying every homeowner/property owner roofing prospect to make sure they understand they must have a legitimate roofing project for The Roofing Consortium to match them with a qualified roofing company member for their project. This way, I can offer the best protection for both homeowner and roofing company member.
